Dachshunds are clever and lively and love to be part of the family and involved in all of their activities. The Dachshund can be a bit stubborn however through proper training, he can sure overcome it. The Dachshund comes in two sizes, standard and miniature and with three different coats: smooth, wirehaired and longhaired. The standard Dachshund grows to about 10 inches tall and weighs up to 32 pounds while the miniature grows to about 9 inches tall and weighs up to 11 pounds. The Dachshund’s body is straight, muscular and quite long for a small dog.
